Cowboys & Brollies
On October 16th, 2024, Stanford Farm played host to Shannon and Stuart’s wedding, a day bursting with personality, fun and a whole lot of rain! Despite the wet weather, the couple’s unique “Cowboys & Brollies” theme made the day an unforgettable celebration of love, laughter, and creativity.
Embracing the rainy conditions, Shannon and Stuart’s “Cowboys & Brollies” theme was a perfect mix of practicality and charm. With guests donning cowboy hats and umbrellas, the atmosphere was both light-hearted and stylish, proving that rain doesn’t have to dampen a good time!
The couple chose a laid-back and delicious menu that everyone adored. KK Catering served up classic fish and chips for the wedding breakfast, paired with a sweet selection of Colin the Caterpillar mini rolls and cakes. In the evening, the family took charge with their own buffet, creating a cosy and personal touch.
Music played a central role in the day’s festivities. Ships Cat welcomed guests with a lively performance during the wedding entry and exit, while Sweeney serenaded with guitar as the ceremony began and family entered. Sam Holloway’s performance added a special charm later in the day.
The evening turned into a lively party with Schofield taking the stage, followed by DJ Sam and karaoke. The mix of live music and interactive fun had everyone on their feet and singing along into the night.
Shannon and Stuart’s wedding was packed with unforgettable details. One standout moment was the groom and his groomsmen taking a cheeky shot before heading into the Stables for the ceremony, setting the tone for a day full of joy and celebration. Guests also loved the engraved wedding sign featuring a heartfelt poem, a unique keepsake that added a personal and poetic touch to the occasion.
Shannon stole the show with her striking red shoes, a bold and stylish choice that perfectly matched the wedding’s playful vibe. Instead of a traditional guest book, the couple opted for Jenga blocks, inviting guests to write messages, advice, or jokes. This creative twist gave Shannon and Stuart a meaningful and fun keepsake to cherish forever.
Rain or shine, Shannon and Stuart’s wedding was a celebration of love, family, and unforgettable memories. With cowboy hats, music, and heartfelt moments, their special day proved that even the wettest weather can’t stop a truly magical celebration.
