Our aim is to make your day extra special. You will have exclusive use of all our facilities for your 3 day wedding. Everyone is welcome at Stanford the whole family, the kids love it and so will your four legged friends if you want to bring them too!
We offer you space for your wedding, Three barns, Two courtyards & The lakeside.

The Stables Wedding Venue
Dating back to 1869, The Stables has been lovingly restored and offers a rustic charm for you wedding. The old oak beams and original doors give an escape from modern day living, perfect for a vintage or festival wedding. Maximum guests 100 seated.
The Lakeside for Outside Ceremonies
At Stanford Farm you now have the option of getting married in the Stables or outside in our Lakeside Wooden Pergola. You can keep your options open and decide on the day, after you have checked the weather. You will also be invited to add a lasting memento of your wedding, by adding a Love Lock to our Lovelock Bridge next to the lake.
The Celtic Knot for Outside Ceremonies
The Celtic Knot offers another outdoor location for your wedding ceremony. It is located in the heart of the courtyard and can also be used as a focal point for your guests to gather before the ceremony itself if you have chosen The Stables, The Lakeside or our Woodland Wedding options.
Woodland Weddings
Our private woodland is a magical place for your outdoor ceremony. But don’t worry, if the weather is unkind, because you have exclusive use of the farm, you can always re-locate to the Stables if necessary.
The Cowhouse
What a great place for your wedding reception, the Cowhouse offers such versatility, whether you want a formal 3 course meal, a buffet, picnic, street food, paella, your wedding your choice. It also houses our main bar.
The Tipi
What does a Tipi mean to you? It offers shelter and creates a great place to chill out with friends and family, once the ceremony and reception are over, The tipi remains an iconic representation of the ingenuity and cultural richness of the Native American tribes of the Great Plains, but at Stanford Farm it offers a wonderful backdrop to a festival, rustic or bohemian style wedding. In the center there is a firepit which we will keep stocked up with wood for burning to create a magical atmosphere. Please note the Tipi is only available from May to September ( weather permitting)
The Bull Bar
This charming rustic barn has been tastefully renovated whilst keeping it’s original features and authentic charm. It even still has the original feed trough. Your guests will be served their reception drinks from here as well as using it for drinks after the ceremony.
The Oval Green, Stanford Farm
Stanford Farm is set in 52 acres of rolling Shropshire country side and woodlands. Just a mile from the Welsh Border. it has a lake, an oval green ideal for afternoon games and entertainment, fields, fields and more fields. We also offer outdoor ceremonies, by the lake. Wonderful opportunities for some great photos.
The Nook - Hobbit Hut Gazebos
Tucked away behind the Stables is The Nook, where the attractive log hobbit hut gazebos offer shelter from the sun or warmth in the cooler months. Each has a wooden table and bench seating for up to 8 people, which together with fairy lights and electric heater, makes this a favourite with our guests and offer another location for you guests perhaps to have quiet conversations. In the center there is a log fire with a supply of logs for burning. To complete the look why not add a top hat Tipi from Sunflower Tips for extra shade or shelter.
