Sarah & Liam's Wedding at Stanford Farm, Shropshire21st August 2024

A Romantic Celebration in Greens, Purples & Pinks

Sarah and Liam’s wedding at Stanford Farm in Shropshire on the 21st of August was an enchanting celebration of love, with beautiful details that made the day feel uniquely theirs. With dry and cloudy weather setting a romantic tone, the day was filled with heartfelt moments, delicious food, and lots of laughter.

The theme for Sarah and Liam’s big day was a romantic blend of soft greens, purples, and pinks, which were reflected beautifully in the flowers and décor. The rustic charm of Stanford Farm, combined with these delicate hues, created an elegant and intimate atmosphere that set the stage for a truly memorable celebration.

When it came to food, Sarah and Liam went for a fun, relaxed vibe with a variety of street food and homemade treats. The wedding breakfast featured a mixed buffet of delicious street food from Spitting Pig, which offered guests a fantastic range of flavours. In the evening, Wood Fired Pizza Bar added a bit of fun and flavour, serving up freshly baked pizzas that kept everyone satisfied long into the night.

For dessert, the couple created their own dessert table, filled with an impressive array of sweet treats. From indulgent gateaux and cakes to doughnuts, cronuts, cookies, brownies, and shortbread, the spread was a hit with guests, who couldn’t get enough of the homemade goodness.

Entertainment was key to ensuring that Sarah and Liam’s wedding was a day to remember, and they certainly didn’t disappoint. The DJ kept the tunes flowing, allowing guests to enjoy music that set the perfect mood throughout the day. Later in the evening, The Squires band brought their energy and talent to the party, keeping the dance floor packed and the celebration going well into the night.

For families with young children, Shropshire Nannies were on hand to provide expert childcare, ensuring that everyone could relax and enjoy the day while the younger guests were well taken care of.

The day was filled with special moments, and one of the most memorable was watching the bridesmaids have a blast on the swing in the farmhouse garden. Their carefree joy was a true highlight, and we couldn’t help but love their fun twist on formalwear—sneakers with dresses! It was a playful, modern touch that perfectly captured the spirit of Sarah and Liam’s celebration.

Another unique and adorable element of the day was the knitted bride and groom, which was a sweet keepsake and added a personal touch to the décor. Guests also admired the mirrored table plan, which was beautifully adorned with wax seals and gypsophila—adding an elegant flair to the venue while guiding guests to their seats.

One of the lighter moments of the day came during the speeches, when Liam was presented with a rather unexpected gift — a mankini. With a grin, Liam confidently declared, “Yeah, I can pull this off!” His humour had everyone laughing, but in true bride style, Sarah swiftly tucked the gift away for later—apparently, it was a keepsake for the groom’s future wardrobe!

Sarah and Liam’s wedding at Stanford Farm was an unforgettable celebration that reflected their personalities and love for one another. From the romantic colour scheme and delicious food to the laughter-filled moments and personal touches, every detail came together to create a beautiful day that their guests will remember for years to come. It was a day filled with love, fun, and plenty of laughter, and we’re sure that Sarah and Liam will cherish these memories forever.
