Paige & Mitch’s Lakeside Wedding at Stanford Farm, Shropshire

A beautifully rain-kissed lakeside wedding.

On the 24th of July 2024, Paige and Mitch celebrated their love in a picturesque lakeside wedding at Stanford Farm in Shropshire. Despite the slightly wet weather, the day was filled with warmth, joy, and unforgettable moments.

The theme of the wedding was inspired by the tranquil beauty of Stanford's lakeside scenery, which was perfectly reflected in the serene surroundings of Stanford Farm. The gentle rain added a romantic touch, enhancing the intimate and cosy atmosphere of the day.

Hammonds Catering provided a delicious feast for the guests, starting with delectable canapés served after the ceremony. The wedding breakfast featured a mouth-watering BBQ, with desserts of rich brownies and creamy cheesecake that satisfied every sweet tooth. As the evening rolled in, the guests were treated to a hearty hog roast, adding a rustic and satisfying end to the day’s dining.

The floral arrangements, created by Carol from Ophelia Jones Floristry, added a burst of natural beauty to the event. Her designs perfectly complemented the lakeside theme, with flowers that seemed to be plucked right from the surrounding countryside.

The entertainment was a highlight of the day, starting with the elegant sounds of Nero String Quartet, who played during the ceremony and continued to enchant guests in the courtyard as drinks were served. During the wedding breakfast, Paige and Mitch set the mood with a personal playlist, creating a relaxed and joyful atmosphere for their guests. As the evening unfolded, the energy was ramped up with a DJ and saxophonist, who kept the dance floor lively and buzzing.

One of the most magical moments of the day was when surprise singing waiters took to the floor. What began as a quiet performance quickly turned into an all-out singalong, with guests waving napkins in the air and joining in the fun. It was a spontaneous and joyful moment that brought everyone together in celebration.

Adding a heart-warming and unique touch to the day, Paige and Mitch’s children made the final speech, giggling their way through it and filling the room with laughter and love. Their sweet and endearing words were a highlight for everyone, adding a truly personal and family-focused moment to the celebration.

Another special detail was the thoughtful tradition Paige and Mitch created for their guests. Each table was given a numbered card that correlated with a specific anniversary, from their first to many years down the line. Guests were invited to fill in these cards with messages, which the couple will open on each anniversary, ensuring that the love and memories from their wedding day will continue to be a part of their lives for years to come.

Paige and Mitch’s wedding at Stanford Farm was a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Despite the wet weather, the warmth of the celebration shone through, creating a day that will be cherished by all who were lucky enough to be a part of it.

It’s been an absolutely amazing day, as we knew it would be coming here! We love Stanford.
