Caroline & Mark's Enchanted Wedding at Stanford Farm – 6th July 2024

A Celebration of Music, Family, and Fairywings

On the 6th of July, 2024, Stanford Farm in Shropshire was the picturesque setting for the magical wedding of Caroline and Mark, a day filled with love, laughter, and just the right touch of whimsy. Despite a morning of showers, the unpredictable British weather had a surprise in store, as the rain gave way to beautiful sunny spells just in time for the newlyweds’ grand exit from the stables.

Caroline and Mark’s wedding theme perfectly encapsulated their joyful spirits: Music, Family, and Fairywings! This enchanting theme was brought to life with creative touches throughout the day, making their wedding as unique as their love story. The bride and her bridesmaids donned delicate fairy wings, a playful and charming nod to the day’s theme, which added a touch of fantasy to the festivities. As the sun dipped below the horizon, these winged wonders took to the dance floor, creating a magical scene that was captured in photos and videos, becoming one of the day’s many unforgettable moments.

The day’s celebrations were as delightful for the palate as they were for the eyes. Guests were treated to an afternoon hog roast from Castlemoor Farm, a hearty and delicious feast that perfectly suited the rustic charm of Stanford Farm. As evening fell, the couple offered a more intimate selection of cheese and biscuits, lovingly prepared by themselves, giving guests a taste of their personal favourites. The wedding cake, a stunning creation made by family friend Maria Saunders, was a sweet highlight of the day, while an ice cream van from the Crown & Sceptre Pub popped by in the afternoon, offering a nostalgic treat that was enjoyed by guests of all ages.

The celebrations took place in a beautiful tipi set up in the farm’s courtyard, courtesy of Sunflower Tipis, which provided a cosy and inviting space for the festivities. The courtyard itself became the heart of the celebration, where the fabulous Jordan Brown serenaded guests with soulful tunes following the ceremony. As the night wore on, Charlie’s Disco (www.charliesdisco.co.uk) took over, transforming the courtyard into a lively dance floor. The evening was full of laughter, dancing, and even some bouncing on a bouncy castle from Timmy T Events, which brought out the playful side of everyone in attendance.

Perhaps the most magical moment of the day was when, after a morning of rain, the clouds parted just as Caroline and Mark stepped out of the stables as newlyweds. The sun’s sudden appearance felt like a blessing from above, casting a warm glow over the couple and their guests, and setting the tone for the joyful day ahead.

The day ended in the most enchanting way possible. As the last song played and the evening drew to a close, guests were invited into the fairy-lit courtyard, where they were each handed a sparkler. Standing in a circle around a beautifully designed Celtic knot, everyone lit their sparklers, creating a breathtaking scene of sparkling lights and warm smiles, a truly perfect ending to a perfect day.

Caroline and Mark’s wedding was a day full of love, laughter, and a touch of magic, leaving everyone with memories to cherish forever. It was a celebration that truly reflected the couple’s vibrant personalities and the love they share, making it a day that will be remembered by all who were lucky enough to attend.

Every time we came to Stanford we loved it a little bit more! Huge thanks to all the staff; the day was absolutely faultless
