Emma & Matthew's Wedding at Stanford Farm, Shropshire14th August 2024
A Perfect Day for a Lakeside Celebration
Emma and Matthew's wedding at the charming Stanford Farm in Shropshire on the 14th of August was a celebration filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Set against the stunning backdrop of the farm's lakeside, the day was everything they had hoped for—laid-back, joyful, and full of surprises.
The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for their special day, with bright skies interspersed with light clouds, creating an idyllic atmosphere for the outdoor ceremony and celebrations to follow. The couple’s theme was "Laidback Lakeside Love," perfectly embodying their easy-going personalities and deep affection for each other.
The culinary experience at Emma and Matthew’s wedding was truly exceptional, with food that not only delighted the guests but also added a delicious touch to the day’s relaxed vibe. Aylin from AnA Catering and her team began with large, mouth-watering canapés served in The Courtyard immediately after the ceremony, allowing guests to mingle and enjoy the picturesque setting. For the wedding breakfast, AnA Catering outdid themselves, crafting delicious sharing platters that brought everyone together for a communal and flavourful dining experience. As the evening wore on, guests were treated to a hearty offering of large bratwursts from Severn Valley Roasts, a perfect way to fuel the fun late into the night.
The floral arrangements were an especially personal touch, as they were designed by none other than Leonah Timbrell, the bride's mother. The vibrant blooms added colour and life to the surroundings, with the local bees particularly enjoying the flowers. Guests were able to join in on some "bee-watching" outside the Bull Bar, where the flowers had flourished. One of the most memorable features of the day was a beautiful old tractor tire filled with flowers, which served as a creative and unique welcome sign at the entrance to the farm. So loved by all, it’s now a permanent fixture at the venue!
Music played an essential role throughout the celebration. Si Davies performed during and after the ceremony, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for the day. Later in the evening, Matt’s brother and his bandmates from ‘BUKA’ took to the stage to keep the energy high and the dance floor full.
One of the most memorable moments of the day was when one of the guests jumped on the piano in the Bull Bar, filling the air with spontaneous music and adding an unexpected spark to the evening. Of course, the inflatable groom also became a highlight, drawing plenty of laughter and becoming a quirky focal point of the celebration.
Emma and Matthew's wedding at Stanford Farm was a reflection of who they are: fun-loving, down-to-earth, and surrounded by the people they cherish. The laid-back lakeside setting, the delicious food, and the moments of spontaneous joy created an unforgettable day that truly celebrated their love. From the unique floral tractor tire to the lively performances and the inflatable groom, it was a wedding that will be talked about for years to come!
“Just a few minutes before his meeting with the Registrars, the groom was handed a precious gift of a lapel pin containing a photo of his late father. The groom said “I was choked to be given a memento of my dad just five minutes before the ceremony, which allowed him to be part of our special day” ”
