Beth & Kelvin’s Hammerfest-Inspired Wedding Weekend at Stanford Farm
A 2 day Celebration of Love, Music, and Fun!
Beth and Kelvin’s wedding at Stanford Farm on 3rd August 2024 was a breath-taking fusion of love, laughter, all set in the spirit of a music festival. With a four-day hire of the stunning Shropshire venue, the couple created an unforgettable wedding weekend that embraced the colours, energy, and fun of a Hammerfest festival.
The farm was transformed into a vibrant festival haven, with glitterballs, giant sunflowers, and a continuous soundtrack of great tunes filling the air. Guests were treated to a celebration that felt as much like a weekend-long party as a wedding, and every detail was a reflection of the couple’s fun, free-spirited love story.
Saturday Wedding Day: The Magic Begins
The highlight of the weekend was, of course, the wedding day itself. Guests arrived to the beautiful surroundings of Stanford Farm, where the theme of colour, sparkle, and music was evident in every corner. As the day unfolded, it became clear that this was going to be a wedding like no other.
Family friend Zena Birch, who had known the couple for years, led a heartfelt and truly personal ceremony at the Lakeside Pavilion. Zena’s words captured the essence of Beth and Kelvin’s relationship, full of laughter, adventure, and unwavering love. The couple exchanged their vows with the gentle breeze rustling through the trees, and guests were captivated by the beauty and intimacy of the moment.
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a selection of mouth-watering canapés, the perfect bite-sized treats to nibble on as they mingled and celebrated. The wedding breakfast was nothing short of spectacular, with CaribJerk providing a flavour-packed Caribbean feast that had everyone coming back for seconds. Jerk chicken, spicy rice, and plantains, just a few of the delicious dishes that transported guests straight to the heart of the Caribbean.
As the evening rolled in, the party atmosphere ramped up with the arrival of Wandering Pizza whose wood-fired pizzas were the perfect way to keep the energy high and the hunger at bay. Guests gathered around the pizza station, enjoying delicious slices under the festival-style lighting that had taken over the Cow House.
Carol from Ophelia Jones worked her floral magic to bring the festival theme to life. She handcrafted giant sunflowers, which were placed at the Lakeside Pavilion and the Cow House stage. These towering blooms provided a stunning contrast to the twinkling lights and created a whimsical atmosphere that felt both magical and welcoming. Carol also adorned the arches over the Celtic Knot with florals, adding a soft touch to the bold, vibrant theme of the day.
George from DJT Entertainments provided the soundtrack for the entire weekend. From the moment guests arrived, the music played a key role in creating the festival-like atmosphere. Soft tunes played over speakers during the ceremony, while a live singer entertained guests following the vows. As the sun set, the party kicked into high gear with a DJ set starting at 7pm, featuring the Disco-Ball Dancers, who lit up the dance floor in a sea of glitter and glamour.
Guests danced beneath the giant disco ball, with the music echoing through the night as they let loose, creating an energy that was as contagious as it was fun. The vibe was infectious, and the celebration went on late into the evening.
There were so many magical moments throughout the day, but a few stand out as truly special. One of the highlights was the ‘first look’ in the farmhouse garden, where the bridesmaids saw Beth in her stunning wedding dress for the first time. The pure joy on their faces was a beautiful prelude to the emotion-filled ceremony.
The bride’s arrival to the Lakeside Pavilion for her walk down the aisle was another unforgettable moment. As she appeared at the entrance, the guests gasped in awe, and there wasn’t a dry eye in sight. It was a moment of pure magic, as Beth and Kelvin shared their vows surrounded by their closest friends and family.
And what an entrance to the Cow House for the evening festivities! The moment Beth and Kelvin entered the venue, the crowd erupted into cheers, standing on their feet, swinging napkins above their heads and singing their hearts out. It was an impromptu celebration of joy, and the energy in the room was electric.
Festival Lanyards and Hangover Kits!
In true festival style, each guest received a personalised lanyard and wristband upon arrival, giving them the feeling of being part of an exclusive festival event. But the surprises didn’t end there, each guest was also gifted a hangover kit, complete with snacks and remedies to help them recover from the celebration the following day. It was a thoughtful and fun touch that added to the festival vibe and kept the laughter going long after the party ended.

Sunday Funday at Beth & Kelvin's Wedding Weekend: A Day of Glitter, Games, and Good Vibes
After a memorable wedding day full of love, music, and dancing, Beth and Kelvin’s wedding weekend continued with an equally unforgettable Sunday Funday at Stanford Farm. The festivities may have begun with a few groggy heads and the occasional hangover, but it didn’t take long for the energy to pick up as guests embraced the festival spirit once again.
The theme for the day? Colour, sparkle, and absolute fun. It was a perfect mix of relaxation, entertainment, and some much-needed recovery from the night before—though "recovery" didn’t mean slowing down. In fact, Sunday was all about pushing the fun into overdrive.
The day kicked off with a gentle yoga session, a clever way to ease the post-party aches and get everyone ready for the festivities ahead. As a few brave souls joined in, stretching and bending, the serene moment was quickly followed by something more lively, after all it was still a festival weekend, and Beth and Kelvin weren’t about to let anyone miss out on the fun!
At 12:30pm, it was time for everyone to get into their festival best. Guests donned their brightest, boldest outfits, with Beth leading the way in a stunning green leotard and an orange fluffy coat, talk about festival chic! The real fun started at the glitter station, where staff and guests alike were glittered up in every colour imaginable. Sparkles and glitter filled the air as everyone got ready for another full day of partying.
Once the guests were glammed up and sparkling, it was time to dive into the entertainment. The outdoor stage came alive with live singers who filled the air with vibrant tunes, creating the perfect soundtrack to a laid-back afternoon of laughter and dancing. A highlight of the day was an impromptu performance right outside the Cow House doors, where one of the talented singers belted out a song as guests gathered around.
For those looking to let off some steam, there was the bouncy castle, yes, a bouncy castle at a wedding! And, of course, outdoor games like giant Jenga and cornhole kept guests entertained and competitive in the best way.
No festival would be complete without a few shots to keep the party spirit alive and Tequila Rose shots were the drink of choice for Sunday Funday. Guests took turns lining up for their shot, with cheers and laughter echoing around the farm. It was definitely a celebration of indulgence and good times.
To balance out the drinks, Hammond Catering fired up the BBQ for a feast of epic proportions. Think smoky, grilled deliciousness—burgers, sausages, and plenty of mouth-watering sides. Guests were in heaven, with food, drinks, and music combining to create the ultimate festival atmosphere.
The real party continued inside the Cow House, where the evening kicked off with the DJ spinning tracks that kept guests on their feet. It wasn’t just about the music, it was about the vibe. Guests danced under the twinkling lights, their glittery outfits catching the glow of the disco balls above.
Sunday Funday was the perfect conclusion to an incredible wedding weekend. From the yoga session to the glitter station, the live music to the outdoor games, and, of course, the endless dancing and tequila shots—it was a day that kept the party going in true festival style. Guests laughed, danced, and celebrated until the night drew to a close, making memories that would last long after the weekend was over.
For Beth and Kelvin, this was more than just a wedding—it was a four-day celebration of love, life, and the joy of having their favourite people around them for an unforgettable festival-style bash. As the weekend drew to a close, everyone knew that this wedding would be remembered as one of the most unique and fun celebrations they’d ever attended.
