Katelen and Billy’s dream of a Winter Wonderland Wedding comes true - with the generosity of our suppliers.
After discovering their dream wedding venue, Stanford Farm, online, Katelen and Billy were met with a heartbreaking twist in their journey as they learned that Katelen's battle with cancer had returned for the third time. Despite the daunting challenges, the couple remained steadfast in their determination to tie the knot this year. During a heartfelt Zoom call with Cindy, who provided them with a virtual tour of the venue (since Katelen was too unwell to visit in person), the couple's spirits were uplifted. Katelen's unwavering positivity and Billy's unwavering support reinforced their belief that Stanford Farm was the perfect place for them to start their new chapter together. However, the couple were to be “blown away” by what was to happen next ….
Cindy said…
"Within the hour, we had both laughed and cried together and I immediately knew I wanted to do something to help.
"She was suffering from cancer for the third time and was wanting to marry Billy in a few months due to ongoing cancer treatment. I had no hesitation but to offer her our wedding venue for free. We pride ourselves on each wedding being unique to our couples and try to say yes and deliver whatever each couple wants to make their day special.
Katelen wanted a dream Christmas wedding in November due to treatment, so in my quest to help her create this, I contacted our many suppliers and friends, and was truly blown away by their generosity and support, and even that from strangers.
"We have managed to arrange all the catering, flowers, music and much more all for free. I have no doubt we will create this dream wedding for her and Billy. I visited Katelen in hospital during her last treatment and to know it's giving her and her family hope and happiness during this time is the best feeling in the world."
Upon learning of Katelen's cancer diagnosis, Cindy contacted various suppliers who quickly rallied behind the cause and in a heartwarming display of community support contributed their services without charge. This collective effort transformed Katelen and Billy's cherished vision of a winter wonderland wedding into a beautiful reality.
This touching gesture exemplifies the power of compassion and solidarity within a community, making this celebration of love all the more special for Katelen and Billy.
